Evolution Osteopathy is led by Matthew Wood. Matthew trained at the London School of Osteopathy and has a wide range of skills gained from working with patients from all walks of life, being based as a Osteopath in Waterloo he works with everyone from pregnant mothers to office workers and athletes.

Matthew has previously worked with the Southwark Lancers RFC, due to originally studying Performing Arts as his first degree, Matthew has always had a fascination with how the body moves and how people can adapt their body to different situations and so has completed the DMA Clinical Pilates L1 and the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute L1 Courses, is a qualified personal trainer and integrates this knowledge into his practice and exercise. He has also done supplementary training in Medical Acupuncture / Dry Needling and IASTM.

Matthew is originally from New Zealand and moved to London in the late 1990′s. He has a keen interest in Triathlon and its composite sports and has run several marathons and shorter races and so understands first hand how important it is to stay healthy and treat sport injuries quickly. Matthew has a great interest in Circus both personally and professionally, working with performers as well as practicing aerial arts himself and enjoys pushing beyond his comfort zone. He has a diverse background from working in the Arts, the Public Sector and Sports, and worked on the London 2012 Olympics. Matthew is passionate about working with patients in order to achieve the best results possible.

Tristan Jones

Tristan Jones

Tristan spent many years in the health and fitness industry as a personal fitness consultant, and later qualified as a sports massage therapist. He retrained as an osteopath at the British School of Osteopathy with a Masters of Osteopathy. He is also trained in Western medical acupuncture.

Tristan is a keen health and fitness enthusiast with a background in middle distance running, cycling and boxing. His philosophy remains to this day, the goal to improve an individual’s function and free them from pain for optimum well-being.

Practicing in London and Shanghai for a number of years, Tristan has solid experience in boutique and international multidisciplinary practices, treating local and international expat communities. Fluent in English, French, conversant in Spanish and on a good day a little Mandarin Chinese, his expanding expertise covered treatment for a variety of ailments from back and neck pain, to office based dysfunction, sports injuries and pregnancy related aches and pains.

Tristan draws on his many years administering rehabilitation programmes for his varied clientele, and will always seek to empower his patients with strengthening and flexibility programmes for a faster return to pain free activity and reduced likelihood of re-injury.

Steffan Kermin

Steffan Kermin

Steffan graduated from the University College of Osteopathy with an M.Ost. Steffan practices as an osteopath as well as obtaining a certification in sports massage and medical acupuncture. With this combination, it enables him to deliver a treatment tailored to his patients, combining a structural and functional approach. Steffan likes to work with patients by establishing achievable goals in order to restore patient health.

Steffan has competed in a variety of sports, with football being his most favoured and he enjoys working in a team and with others to achieve their goals. With this sporting background in both playing and coaching, working with people and being intrigued by the complexity of the human body was always going to be influential to Steffan’s career path.

Stephanie Horsted

Stephanie Horsted

Stephanie graduated from the University College of Osteopathy with a Master’s degree with distinction. Prior to pursuing Osteopathy, she obtained a degree in Sports Rehabilitation (including level 5 sports massage) and has experience in providing rehabilitation programmes for injured individuals and those aiming for sporting goals. She competed as a gymnast for several years and continued as a coach and judge for 10 years.

She firmly believes in adopting a whole-body and patient-centred approach, understanding the intricate connection between mental health, stress, trauma, and their profound effects on the body. By acknowledging and addressing these factors, she strives to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to all her patients. As well providing them with the tools to self-manage alongside osteopathic treatment.

Stephanie has a passion for providing and advocating for inclusive and affirming healthcare practices for the LGBTQI+ community, particularly those who are Transgender and Non-Binary. Ensuring that everyone receives the highest level of care and support they deserve that respects their unique experiences and needs.

Ed graduated wit a Masters in Ssteopathy from the University College of Osteopathy.

He is a structural osteopath who believes in the importance of body movement for a better quality of life. He is interested in rehabilitation exercises and believes combining osteopathy with movement can benefit the patient’s recovery.

His passion for exercise guided him to understand the importance of movement for optimal body functioning. With an experience of almost ten years as a personal trainer, he also helps patients to improve their overall fitness to reduce risks of re-injuries and increase general fitness.

Outside the clinic, Ed trains clients privately and teaches BODYPUMP. His hobbies include bodybuilding, karate, ice skating and British Sign Language.
